Remembrance Day updated to include innocent victims of interpersonal crimes

Remembrance Day is a wonderful way of reminding us all of the sacrifice so many people have made protecting civilians.

Let us also remember all  innocent people who died and those who suffered interpersonal crimes during all wars and armed conflicts to remember innocent victims of sexual violence in times of peace everywhere.

In Japan. A peace loving country who learned by their defeat in World War 2 that armed conflict was not the way of the future.

Sadly however for the past 70 years thousands of innocent people in Japan have been killed or have suffered interpersonal crimes carried out by the US Military Personal who occupied Japan until 1952 following the end of the war and Okinawa remained under US governance for two decades after that. On this 2019 remembrance day they are still occupy Okinawa and the incidence of sexual violence and other crimes by US Military continue.
